Our Dog

This page is about  our dog lilah. We got here back in may 2008. She was rescued by a vet that lives in murfresburro.

When we found out about her she was on craigslist! <-- the best site ever!

Well anyways the best I remember the add read like this; "free dog, half german shepard half rotwilder." very big puppie in the picture she (the dog) was lying on a mans chest and looked so cute!

she looked just like a baby rotti. At the time I wanted a small dog what my housband calls the "fufu" breed. i.e poms and he wanted a larger breed like German Shepard.

So we got lilah and she was a very cute puppy at the time when we first got her we lived in out apartment and it was a little bit og a chalenge having her in a rather small space because she is a very very innergetic dog and at the time we both worked full time and I would come home everyday and spend my lunch with her and Justin would spend time with her whenever he was at home and I was working.

She was very healthy and playful from the moment we brought her home!

As time passed and she kept growing we had many different challenges to deal with.

The first being potty training. Potty training is challenging most of the time with animals for a short period of time no matter what the circumstances are but when you throw in a curve ball like living on the second story of an apartment building and the puppy is terrified of going down the stairs that makes potty training just a little more challenging.

But after trying every technique and advise from everyone we can think of (which  now we know is the same with a baby) we decided just the old fashion way worked best and after about a month the mess up's were very few and far between.

The second most challenging thing was the fact that she wanted to chew on everything!!!

And I mean everything; wood, plastic, metal, rocks, Shoes, shoes and more shoes!!!!

that was actually something that it was ok to chew on
